What is the Call MD Plus Card?

We are dedicated to bringing high quality, value added health care products to our membership. Here are some of the highlights of the card:

Are there any restrictions because of age or current medical conditions?

There are no restrictions on access to discounts due to age or any health conditions you may have. However, services already completed or in progress before you join are not discounted.

Can anyone in my immediate family use my ID card?

Immediate family members residing in your household or dependent children can use your membership card. You will be asked to provide application information for your immediate family members on your first call to the Call MD Plus. We recommend calling within 30 days of receiving your membership materials in order to establish you Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

Will this membership keep my medical information private?

Only the providers you give us permission to release your information to.

What is the refund / cancellation policy?

If you cancel for any reason, any unused portion of your membership fee will be returned to you on a pro rata basis. For example, if you cancel your membership after 6 months and 15 days, and you paid the monthly membership fee of 19.95 for the 7th month, then you would receive a refund of approximately $9.98. Any additional refund or payment is based solely upon the discretion and good will of Call MD Plus, Inc. PLEASE NOTE: Any consultation fee paid to a network doctor or facility is non-refundable under this agreement.

Do I have to pay at the time of service?

If you are a Call MD Plus Basic member, you must pay a Consultation fee of $35.00 prior to the consultation. You must pay the pharmacy once you've received your prescription. If you are a Call MD Plus Ultimate or VIP member, participating providers have an agreement that they will not bill the member for the difference between their usual fee and the reduced fee.

How is pricing for prescription drugs determined?

The Call MD Plus prescription drug program provides savings on both generic and name brand prescriptions. It allows for unlimited use by the member and his / her family. Prescription drug costs vary by provider due to differences in both retail and wholesale prices for their products. In the unlikely event the usual and customary charge (retail price) is lower than the Call MD Plus card discounted price, members will pay the lower price.

How is OptumHealth Allies different from a health plan?

OptumHealth Allies is NOT health insurance. It is a health discount program that offers savings on a wide range of health care services. With OptumHealth Allies, you pay reduced rates for many out-of- pocket health care services you would otherwise purchase at full price.

How does OptumHealth Allies help me save money?

OptumHealth Allies gives you access to providers and services at preferred rates. You can typically save 5-50% on many services that you purchase out of pocket.

What providers are available through OptumHealth Allies?

OptumHealth Allies gives you access to a nationwide network of more than 500,000 practitioners, facilities, retail chains and online providers.

Do I need Internet access to use OptumHealth Allies?

No. You can use your OptumHealth Allies membership by calling the toll-free Customer Care number on your OptumHealth Allies card. An advisor can help you locate providers, compare and confirm preferred rates, and more.

Will I receive a membership card?

Yes. Your member ID card identifies you as a OptumHealth Allies member and assures that you will receive the preferred member rates. You will need to present your OptumHealth Allies member ID card to your provider (along with your discount confirmation) at the time of service.

Can my family use OptumHealth Allies too?

Yes. Use OptumHealth Allies to save on health care for you, your spouse and your dependent children. Savings on Long-Term Care services also apply to parents, in-laws, and grandparents.

When can I call NurseLine?

To talk to a nurse 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, call the Customer Care number on your card and Choose Option #2. All calls are free and confidential.
